Bonhams' Bond Street Sale is the auction house's traditional year-end London sale of important collectors' motor cars and automobilia, held at its New Bond Street headquarters. For December 2026 the sale is expected but not yet announced. As of 20 October 2026, the Bonhams Cars calendar lists no Bond Street Sale date. In 2025 Bonhams announced the date in its press release after the Golden Age of Motoring Sale, so an announcement may follow the 30 October 2026 sale.
The 2025 edition, on 11 December 2025, shows the sale's character. It was a compact catalogue of 27 motor cars plus automobilia, mixing pre-war coachbuilt cars with modern collector Ferraris and Lamborghinis. The top lot was a 1981 Lamborghini Countach LP400S with around 2,700 km from new, which sold for £546,250 including premium. A 1968 Ferrari 330 GTC from the estate of John Gould, with proceeds going to Diabetes UK and the RNIB, made £414,000. Goodwood Road and Racing counted eight six-figure sales. The headline 1928 Mercedes-Benz 36/220 S-Type tourer, estimated at £1.25 million to £1.75 million, is listed by Glenmarch as unsold.
Bonhams records that the ex-Phil Scragg 1961 Aston Martin DB4GT 'Lightweight', offered without reserve at the 7 December 2019 Bond Street Sale, sold for £2,367,000 including premium. Pre-sale viewing usually runs at New Bond Street on the days before the auction. Bidding has typically been possible in the room, by telephone, online and by absentee bid.
