RETRO CLASSICS Stuttgart 2027

RETRO CLASSICS in Stuttgart has been one of the big dates in the European classic calendar since 2001. In 2027 it moves to a later spring slot, Thursday 29 April to Sunday 2 May, at Messe Stuttgart next to the airport. The organiser is RETRO Messen GmbH, which also runs the Essen and Nuremberg shows.

The organiser describes the show as covering 80,000 m2, with around 1,600 exhibitors. The 25th anniversary edition in February 2026 drew around 83,000 visitors, described as a record. Around 2,800 vehicles spanning more than a century filled seven halls, the east entrance and the atrium. The 2026 programme included a Classicbid live auction in Hall 1 and an American special show of around 20 vehicles, from a historic cab-over truck to dragster and film cars.

The appeal for buyers is the sheer depth of supply. There are dealers and manufacturers' heritage departments, restorers, parts suppliers, brand clubs and a large parts market, all under one roof. The organiser's own summary is everything from A for Abarth to M for Manta to Z for Zündapp.

2027 special shows, opening hours and ticket prices had not been published at the time of writing. Because the 2027 dates span the 1 May public holiday, expect strong weekend-style attendance on the Saturday. Collectors can combine the show with RETRO CLASSICS ESSEN two weeks earlier.
