Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2027, Cernobbio, Lake Como

The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este is one of the most prestigious concours in the world, held on the western shore of Lake Como at Cernobbio. The 2027 edition is listed by the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este, co-organiser with the BMW Group, for Friday 21 to Sunday 23 May 2027. BMW Group has not yet published the 2027 dates, and the official concorso website says ticket sales for 2027 are expected to start at the end of this year, so treat the dates as expected until the organisers confirm them.

The event's story begins in September 1929, when it was created to celebrate the most beautiful new cars with individually styled coachwork. BMW became patron in 1999, concept cars returned to the competition in 2002, and since 2005 BMW and the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este have staged it as joint organisers. A Concorso di Motociclette was added in 2011. The Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS known as the Coupé Villa d'Este takes its name from its triumph here in 1949.

The format separates the competition from the public experience. According to GTspirit, 54 cars from 13 countries, entered by invitation, competed across eight classes in 2026 for class honours and the Best of Show Trofeo BMW Group, and the Saturday parade on the Villa d'Este terrace takes place before the jury and invited guests.

The public side moves to neighbouring Villa Erba. In 2026 (15-17 May) Saturday brought Amici & Automobili, with around 120 club vehicles on the Villa Erba grounds, and Sunday 17 May was the Public Day - Il Festival, giving the general public the chance to see the concours vehicle parade. Tickets were sold through TicketOne.

The weekend also draws satellite events to the lake. FuoriConcorso runs at villas in Como on the same weekend, and Broad Arrow Auctions holds the official Concorso auction at Villa Erba.
