The Sächsische Meister-Classic is a classic rally organised by the Kfz-Innung Sachsen West/Chemnitz, the regional motor trades guild. It combines automotive history, touring and promotion of the motor trade. The seventh edition runs from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 June 2027. The organisers are taking start-place reservations by email now and expect official entries to open in November 2026.

The 2026 edition was based at Eibenstock and toured the Erzgebirge and Vogtland, with about 215 km on Saturday and 110 km on Sunday. Navigation is by roadbook with tulip diagrams and map sketches, and skill tests are scored using a year-of-build coefficient. Under the 2026 rules, road-registered cars built before 31 December 1995 were eligible and the field was capped at 85.

A team of apprentices, the H-Team, also takes part to promote careers in the trade. The 2027 route has not yet been announced.

What to expect

  • Three days of touring through Saxony
  • Roadbook navigation with skill tests
  • Year-of-build coefficient scoring
