Bonhams returns to the Grand Palais for its Rétromobile week auction in 2027. La Vente de Paris is scheduled for Friday 5 February 2027 under the historic glass nave close to the Champs-Élysées, after the 2026 Paris sale moved temporarily to the Polo de Paris.
Alongside classic and collector cars, Bonhams Europe will present fine art and luxury items at the sale, and the auction house will also show a display of cars in the halls of Rétromobile itself. Michael Squire, Head of European Sales for Bonhams, called the Grand Palais Bonhams' usual home in Paris and described Rétromobile as one of Europe's pinnacle classic car shows. Consignments were still being accepted in autumn 2026, and the Bonhams Cars auction calendar listed an early preview of 11 lots.
The 2025 sale shows what the venue can deliver. Bonhams reported 10,000 visitors over three days under the nave, 98 collector cars within a 162-lot sale and a total of €18 million, and its press release recorded a 91 per cent sell-through rate for the cars, with buyers from 18 countries. A 1950 Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta Touring sold for €2.82 million and a 1955 Ferrari 555 Super Squalo for €1.98 million, both offered without reserve. At the time, Bonhams said it had held Paris sales during Rétromobile for 17 years.
In 2025 the cars were on view in the nave on the two days before the sale, and the viewing was free to the public. Viewing days, the sale start time and catalogue details for 2027 had not been announced at the time of writing.
Bonhams has held a Paris sale during Rétromobile week for more than 17 years and returned to the renovated Grand Palais in 2025 after a three-year absence. The 2026 sale was held at the Polo de Paris.
