Ferrari is the marque that needs no explanation and permits no indifference. For collectors, Ferrari represents the highest peaks of the classic car market - and increasingly, some of its most rewarding entry points. The 308 GTB and GTS (1975โ1985) have become the gateway Ferraris: genuinely beautiful Pininfarina-designed mid-engine cars with the mechanical character of Maranello at their core. Fibreglass-bodied early GTBs are particularly coveted. The Testarossa (1984โ1996), once dismissed as a poster-car clichรฉ, has undergone a complete cultural and financial reappraisal - its side strakes and flat-12 engine note now command prices that would have seemed absurd a decade ago.
