RETRO CLASSICS ESSEN 2027

RETRO CLASSICS ESSEN is the newest member of the RETRO CLASSICS family. It took over the April slot at Messe Essen that the Techno-Classica held for 35 editions. The second edition runs from Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 April 2027, and RETRO CLASSICS in Stuttgart follows from 29 April to 2 May 2027.

The premiere on 8-12 April 2026 drew more than 65,500 visitors from 51 countries. The organiser says it met its interim targets, especially for market relevance within the scene, and the first exhibitor registrations for 2027 came in during the 2026 show. For 2027 the organiser plans to strengthen new themes and improve the presentation, with a particular focus on the visitor experience. First highlights were due to be announced later in 2026.

The scope is broad. Pre-war classics stand alongside oldtimers and youngtimers, commercial vehicles have a dedicated area, and the NEO CLASSICS segment brings in modern collectibles. Special shows, a large parts market and a supporting programme complete the offer. The organiser sums up the range as running from A for Abarth to M for Manta to Z for Zündapp.

For buyers, the five-day run starting on a Wednesday gives more room to look at cars before the weekend crowds arrive. Early-bird tickets for 2027 have been promoted, and prices are in the organiser's ticket shop.
