Gib Bescheid, ob du dabei bist
The ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival calls itself the reunion of the historic rally scene, and the 15th edition is scheduled for 22-24 July 2027 in and around Daun in the Vulkaneifel. It is organised by the Motorsport-Club Daun e.V. im ADAC, whose chairman Otmar Anschütz has led the event for years.
The format is different from a historic rally. Original cars or faithful replicas are driven on closed demonstration stages, and nobody is timed. There is no sporting classification. Instead, an expert jury has picked the festival winners at the closing rally party since 2015. Past editions have brought almost 50 makes and nearly 300 vehicle types to Daun, from Audi, Opel and Peugeot to exotics such as Allora, Clan and Jide.
The 2027 programme opens on Thursday with the Daun-Town-Day. In the Rallye-Meile in the town centre, the public can watch scrutineering as the cars are introduced. There is also an autograph session and the welcome evening with its open-air rally cinema. The Rallye-Meile, with the service park and exhibitions, has traditionally been free to visit. You only need a ticket to watch the cars on the demonstration stages.
In 2026 the 14th edition (23-25 July) brought together the big names of Group B, including the Audi Quattro, Ford RS200, MG Metro 6R4, Lancia 037 and Delta S4, and Peugeot 205 T16. For the 2022 jubilee edition, the organisers expected around 40,000 fans. Former works drivers come every year, so a walk through the service park can easily turn into a conversation with a world champion.
The festival is run by MSC Daun im ADAC and reaches its 15th edition in 2027. An expert jury has chosen the festival winners since 2015, and only original cars or faithful replicas are admitted.
