Tour Auto 2027, 36th Edition

The Tour Auto returns for its 36th edition from 18 to 24 April 2027. Peter Auto's own page carries those dates and describes five days of racing from 20 to 24 April. That suggests an opening exhibition in Paris followed by the rally itself. One outlet gives 18 to 25 April, so we follow the organiser.

Peter Auto says the 36th edition will again bring together nearly 240 exceptional cars. The route mixes timed road sections, circuit races and overnight stops in towns along the way, with regularity and competition classes. The start, finish and stage towns had not been announced at the time of writing.

Two themes shape 2027. BMW, an official partner for more than 15 years, is honoured with the BMW 507, the V8 roadster unveiled in 1955. For Ferrari's 80th anniversary, Ferraris that raced in the Tour de France Automobile between 1951 and 1973 are eligible, plus a few exceptions up to 1984.

The general eligibility rule covers cars that ran in the original event between 1951 and 1973, plus selected later models up to 1984. The event was created in 1899 by the Automobile Club de France, ran until a 50th edition in 1986, and was revived in 1992. Watching from the roadside is free.
