The London Historic Trophy returns to Brands Hatch in Kent on 18-20 June 2027 for its second edition. Motor Racing Legends launched the event in 2026 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Brands Hatch, as part of the circuit's 'Century of Power' celebrations. According to the organiser, it quickly established itself as a key fixture on the historic racing calendar.
Brands Hatch is the attraction. Motor Racing Legends calls it a natural amphitheatre with exceptional spectator views, and the event uses both the short Indy layout and the full Grand Prix circuit through the woods. The inaugural meeting on 19-21 June 2026 featured ten race series covering cars from the 1920s to the 1990s, with demonstrations, parades and car displays. Motor Racing Legends reported that it drew more than 300 cars.
In 2026 the grids included the Historic Touring Car Challenge, recalling the BTCC era of the Ford Sierra RS500 and BMW E30 M3, with two 40-minute races. They also included Pre-War Sports Cars and Motor Racing Legends' new Pre-'66 GT Sprint, which made its debut at the event. HRDC grids such as Top Hat Pre-'66 Touring Cars, the Gerry Marshall Trophy and Dunlop Allstars with the Classic Alfa Challenge ran alongside. The 2027 grid line-up had not been confirmed in detail at the time of writing.
The meeting sits between the Donington Historic Festival (30 April-2 May) and the BRDC Classic at Silverstone (23-25 July) in Motor Racing Legends' 2027 UK calendar. Brands Hatch's proximity to London makes it the most accessible of the three for visitors from the capital.
First held on 19-21 June 2026 to mark the 100th anniversary of Brands Hatch. Motor Racing Legends reported more than 300 cars at the inaugural event.
