Essen Motor Show 2027 - classic car halls

The Essen Motor Show is held every year at Messe Essen in the run-up to Christmas, and a 2027 edition is expected. Messe Essen has not yet published official dates. Based on recent editions, which opened with a Preview Day on the last Friday of November and ran for nine days, a late November to early December slot is likely. Treat any dates as expected until the organiser confirms them.

In 2026 Messe Essen took over the classic area from the previous organiser and became sole organiser of the whole show. It introduced a new structure: Hall 1 for youngtimers aged 20 to 29, Hall 2 for oldtimers aged 30 and over, and a Car Market in Hall 1A for trade and private sellers. Awards went to the most beautiful youngtimer and the most valuable oldtimer. Whether this format carries over unchanged into 2027 has not been announced, but Messe Essen described it as a long-term relaunch of the classic area.

For collectors the appeal is the mix. Dealers, clubs and private sellers share the classic halls, while the rest of the site covers motorsport, tuning and performance cars. This page will be updated with dates, hall plans and ticket prices once Messe Essen publishes them.
