The Modena Cento Ore is Canossa Events' autumn blend of historic motorsport and grand touring, finishing in the heart of Modena. The 2027 dates have not yet been announced. Recent editions have run in early October (6-11 October 2026), so an October 2027 date is expected, to be confirmed by the organiser, and the route changes every year.
Born at the dawn of the new millennium, the event combines classic cars, gentleman drivers, circuit racing and touring, with exciting roads, landscapes, food and wine. Grids are limited to 100 cars to keep the atmosphere close-knit. Crews choose between the Competition section, with circuit races and special stages on roads closed to traffic, open to cars complying with FIA regulations built up to 1981 in specific classes, and the Regularity section, which follows the same route, including the circuits and closed-road stages, under precision-based rules and is open to all historic cars produced up to 1981.
The route is reinvented each year. The 25th-anniversary edition in 2025 started in Rome and used five circuits: Vallelunga, Magione, Mugello, Misano and Imola. In 2026 the new Coast to Coast route began with registration and a welcome dinner in Riccione on 6 October and a first race at the Misano World Circuit the next day, with a gala evening at the Cattedrale dell'Immagine in Florence, before the final arrival in Modena on Saturday 10 October. The regional tourism board listed three circuit races and nine special stages for 2026.
For spectators, the final arrival in Modena's historic centre is a free event, and the streets come alive as the cars arrive. For entrants, the fee covers two crew members, five nights in selected hotels, five evening events, four lunches on the route, a personal photo album, roadside assistance for minor problems and luggage transport.
